Healthy Energy Bites
In this recipe, Amy Sotis, a local nutritionist, shows us how to make some delicious Healthy Energy Bites. These bites are jam-packed with healthy proteins and carbs, giving you plenty of energy for the day. These can be made and stored in the fridge, being easily accessible for on-the-go days. This is a perfect recipe to satisfy those sugary cravings instead of grabbing unhealthy candy bars.
Healthy Energy BitesDifficulty: Easy
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp. warm water
1 cup old fashioned rolled oats (pulverized)
1/2 cup flax seed meal
2 tbsp. chia seeds
First, add all dry ingredients into mixer.
Next, add all wet ingredients.
Mix all ingredients in mixer until consistency is doughy.
Scrape sides of bowl and add water as needed if too thick.
Shape into balls and store in fridge. Enjoy!
